Robin Thicke and Nicki Minaj Drop Disco-y New Single "Back Together" - fuse.tv

(Severe, severe flop.).

Nicki Minaj swipes the http://discobistroec4.co.uk limelight for an unwell knowledgeable on the bridge where she name-drops every person from Tupac to Mary Poppins as well as Hillary Clinton.

In 2013, Robin Thicke frustrated virtually everybody when he broadcast the unclean laundry of his separation using the misdirected Paula cd, led by the minimalist R&B single "Get Her Back." On his new single, the "Obscured Lines" bloke is still trying to get the gal, but seems like he's having way a lot more fun doing this.

It isn't really the very first time Nicki as well as Thickey have actually teamed up, either. Nicki also sings a bit when the production takes a "Conga"-like turn, contributing to the feel-good view.. (Let's not also get right into the untidy, drawn-out "Obscured Lines" legal action; yikes.).

"Back Together" is a disco-y slab of pop with some tempting funk-guitar licks and gooey bass lines, with a touch of the cowbell famously listened to in "Blurred Lines." Robin's still pleading to fix up, but also for every heartfelt verse ("You utilized your love to tear me apart/ Currently place me back together") there's a fun one ("Brought out the animal in me, no one else can tame that monster/ Why did you have to go and bid farewell?").

While Thicke hasn't announced a new album, "Back With each other" most likely previews a document that will certainly see him going back to a much more commercial pop sound a la his No. 1 Obscured Lines LP, versus in 2014's Paula, which is his lowest-selling record to day. So it's great for Nick to give her co-sign to Rob's most current; we could imagine a whole lot of rap artists having handed down dealing with the dude after his current rugged stretch. A pre-fame Onika came down on Robin's 2011 single "Shakin' It 4 Dad," which wasn't a hit, but assisted further the rap artist's preliminary ascent right into the pop stratosphere.
